The Little Giant/Jim Dandy Minnow Traps

The Little Giant minnow trap seems to have been invented by M.E. McSwain and patented in 1934. It was made by the McSwain Glass Company around 1934 and later by Memphis Glass Company. It was sold by Shakespeare, Sears, and others. Sears sold it as the "Jim Dandy" and Shakespeare sold it as their Jim Dandy models 7705(small) and 7706(large).
Some Little Giants had a longer "nose" than others, and I think this was because it was hand blown and cut off at whatever length would  fit  the standard swing lid. It is found in two sizes.. a small half gallon size with a pointed handle and a larger gallon size with a rectangular handle.
